1960년대 일본 건축 운동 메타볼리즘(Metabolism)은 건축을 유기체로 바라봤다. “도시는 살아있는 생명체”라는 메타볼리즘의 비전이 가장 응축된 작품이 바로 〈Nakagin Capsule Tower〉다.
